Hanging Out in Williston, ND for the First Time

You're right the truck stop is a dump. It was quiet when I stayed there though as half the trucks parked there were broke down.

 

every place to park around willistion is a dirty nasty stank hole. poilt is probably a bit better than loves and has better showers but its at 13 mile corner (13 miles from wilistion on hwy 2.) leaves a bit to be desired for eats if your gonna be there long but then again chesters chicken is nothing to write home about ether. i like the new cenex c-store/truck stop in tioga. the pumps have always been there but they just finished the c-store a few months ago. pretty good eats clean decent showers big c-store fuel is cheap for the area dirt lot but they have made some improvements to the lot re-graded it and got rid of the giant holes that were there. tioga is now my favorite place to park in the willistion area. if i was going to be heading east anyway i would go to Minot and park at shatz crossroads. they do a very good job of keeping the lot clean, full menu restaurant. breakfast stuff is good burgers are good. don't waste your money on one of there bland cant cook to order steaks. showers are a bit small and nothing fancy but great great water pressure none of that lo flow bs and good hot water. probably my favorite truck stop in the state.

 

you don't want to saty at lonnies ( the small dirt praking in town) they only have one shower and if your there over the weeknd the drunks tend to hang out there go to loves or the pilot
