Worst dock for me was downtown Kansas City and from a busy street, blindsided. What was so bad it was an inside dock with those yellow poles that only give you an inch on both sides.Well after an hr I finally got in the dock and lost the trailer door because it got too close to the pole.I hate inside docks with poles.
Hard docks.......what was the worst docks you had to back into??

I have an NYC delivery this weekend that should be fun. From the looks of it, it's a blindside off the street, where I'll be about 20 feet out into a three lane road to make a delivery. Not the toughest dock, but the road, and depending how traffic is handled during the backing may make it troublesome.
Worst backing I had to do was a dock out on long island. Back around a light pole OVER the curb and sidewalk (no other way), and yet pivot into almost a 7 shape before finally straightening out behind the pole at an angle, and then backing to the right alongside the building to hit a dock. Did that one weekly. You can't enter from the other direction, so that's your only way. Got pretty good at it, and it wasn't that hard. Just looks impossible at first glance and you just have to know EXACTLY where to put your tandems at the start. If you're too far wide, or go in too shallow, you can't clear the pole and the corner of the building at the same time. -
So many docks and parking lots to get to the docks were designed for either local trks or straight trks. There should be a law with docks and lots like this,no 53 ft trls allowed.

yep been to the KC caves, awesome place to go my wife didn't care for it until we were out of them. I really thought it was a lot of fun

Sunoco paper in Holyoke MA. They have one dock separate from the others they call the hole. Back into a narrow alley straddling train tracks. Cars parked against building, and a cement wall on the other side with a canal. Forget designed for local or day cabs. It was designed for horse and buggy.

Future Shop in Thunder Bay ON. Would like to shoot the ####### that built that thing. You had to have the wheels slid right at the correct spot, and still it took about 20 pull ups. Absolutely no room. Here's the #######:

Wheels too far back and you hit the pole. Too far forward and you hit the building. You're constantly coming very close to the pole, the building, and right up against the curb. 95% of guys just hire a local daycab to put it in that hole. -
I have to say the superfresh on south street in downtown philly. Also the bobs furniture in Elm Wood Park NJ is extremely tight the doors touch when backed in you have to drop the legs before you back completely in. On your way in you make 2 turns into small neighborhoods then outta no where there is a distribution center

CS Aberdeen is no longer tight we moved all the bobtails to another parking lot so there is only the fire hydrant to worry about now.
