What is the thing you chain timber up front called? It's not dunnage. It's I can't remeber.
-
I was told not to use cracked pieces for coil beds but had a feeling it wasn't such a big deal on pipe loads etc. Thanks for the input, gentlemen.

I was going to tease you about spending money on that but then I thought about my own purchases of new corner protectors, a dozen+ truck straps, 50 bungees in a box, strap winder, etc
-
Ha! Funny you mention corner protectors because I'm sitting here right now trying to figure out how I'm going to cinch down a load of insulation panels I'm picking up Monday morning without cracking the top layer. Normally, I wouldn't be so concerned because at job site deliveries they don't care but this shipment is heading to a distributor so I have a feeling they will certainly care.

2 out of 3 insulated panels distributors will supply the cardboard ones.... in my experience, anyway.cke, Tug Toy, IluvCATS and 1 other person Thank this.
-
I used my own 7" small ones last time I loaded there and didn't see any other shipper supplied options. Maybe I didn't look close enough.cke Thanks this.

That foam insulation cracks and dents if you strap too hard. You can make quick v-boards out of wood, roofing nails, and strap pieces.
Also if you strap on top of the tarps, it provides a little more protection of the product. Don’t over tighten. -
Don’t buy 4x4s. But do buy a set of plastic 12” vee-boards.
