I had it happen once when I went the speed limit through a work zone. When the work zone ended I started to speed back up. He got on the left of me and as the back of his trailer was lined up with my cab he came over on me. Hit my brakes and backed it off some to avoid the collision. Once he cut in front of me he started jamming his brakes off and on between speeding up. Didn't matter as I had already backed off and put some room between us. I'll remember that truck again. It was a light blue POS with a handwritten N. Arlington, NJ business address on the passenger door. That was the only time.
Has another truck ever tried to run you off the road?

Had a flatbedder about hit me today. Came drifting over the line. Had I not seen it was a flatbedder and know that they are more apt to this I woulda kept at my normal speed and been hit. As it was I slowed down and hit my airhorn. He then came rest of the way over and took off.

Had it happen a couple weeks ago in northeast. I drive for Swift, some OO trying to scare me or something, kept moving over to me/my lane. not a good idea, but i moved to inside of lane toward him. I should get a gopro or something to record this.

Guess I wouldn't call it actually trying to run me off the road tho, no contact

I had a guy pass me once who only put maybe ten feet of his trailer past me before coming over. I pulled the chain, but I had to brake and get out of the way. Thankfully there was a nice big shoulder to jump onto. He never reacted to the horn...

Drivers cut in front a lot, understandable if there's a lot of vehicles behind them waiting to get by.

No I've never been ran off the road, but I remember nearly killing someone. A decade ago when I was still driving i was heading west on I-80 near Chicago. I was in the slow lane in my governed truck bouncing along in my air ride seat. My co-driver was sawing logs so loud you could almost see the windows vibrate. It was at dusk when came across an early model ford fiesta. It was smurf blue and filled with college kids. There was four of them in it. Well they came onto the on ramp on my right, and for some reason either out of stupidity or because that little engine couldn't go any faster, they matched speeds with me. I let off the gas and kept waiting for them to speed that coffin on wheels up and get ahead of me. They ran out of on ramp quickly and I begin to panic. I started downshifting quickly in between tapping my breaks, which made my engine scream. The jake break was growling something fierce and all I could see was the terror in the driver's eyes lite up by my headlights. I was able to get the truck stopped, though I'm sure those breaks were so hot you could fry an egg on them. I put that federal stopping distance chart to the test that day, and I think I may have stopped shorter than what chart says I could have. I sincerely hope that kid traded that wind up car as a down payment on something faster. That was ridiculous.

Yes, and they were almost ALWAYS CR England trucks.
I give CR England drivers PLENTY of room now.. -
