Has anybody else noticed rates went into the toilet this week?

The greed is always there, but this right now is about policy. The price of fuel will definitely go up no doubt about it.

How that policy will affect the rates is yet to be seen.

I am not particularly optimistic about any of that, but I am hoping that somehow Trucking will continue with similar rates to last year.

Me too, but it’s not anyone’s fault. Every 4 or 8 years the political party switches. I don’t like any of them but the bickering gets old. Life goes on and you can’t change it.

 

Lol he only been in power one week, fuel was going up weeks before then.

 

Of course it was. When oil is low and a President elect happens back start of November then speculators begin buying because they know it’s going to go up due to who won. He’s already done executive orders that will kill production like cancelling the keystone pipeline and putting a halt to all new drilling permits. So yeah, a lot can happen in short time. Like you said, just in 1 week! Imagine what a year or two brings.

 

I agree but elections do have consequences. Some bigger then others. You have to still figure out a way to be successful but paying attention to what’s happening and going to happen is how you help yourself navigate it.
