i hauled 4 ch robinson once, nothing special, most of their loads were cheap and heavy, this was cheap and light. 1800 from philly to dallas weighed bout 16k if i remember it avraged out to about 1.60 /mi
Driver's Line Thanks this. -
C H stands for Cheap and Heavy.

Allen Lund is even worse than CH, thats the cheapest broker EVER! Expect to haul for 80c.
rjones56 and Driver's Line Thank this. -
Ihauled one load for Ch. It was medium weight (33K) and it paid crap but considering I was sitting for 3 days with nothing I took it. Never again. They keep calling and I just hang up on them. Till the want to get their rates up, they can rely on someone else. I have recently partnereed with Prime and while the rates are low (which is turning out industry wide) they are doable simply because I have 3 trailer payments I no longer need to make, extra maint. etc. (we pull their trlrs and they maintain 100%) the rate works. Would like to see it improve but I dont think that will happen at least until March.

They all are cut throats.Tell the man the truth fellas. There is no loyalty in this cut throat business. The only time you get payed well is when a broker is in distress-thats it.You have to be in the right place at the right time.Landstar,c.h. all of them do this crap. They go home at 4 pm everyday to there loved ones and expect to make millions off of truckers trying to survive.
I am sorry but there is no love lost for me dealing with these brokers and watching what they do to good hard working drivers trying to make a buck.I have watched this and been part of it for 23 years.I dont have respect for these parasites who have desroyed the rate for 30 years now and continue to do it.
You can bet your last dollar brokers are still getting 2.00-4.00 a loaded mile and then keep it all and starve the owner op...For that i can say i have no respect for these needy, greedy, lieing manipulating parasites of life we call brokers..lol lol lol
And now its worse then ever. There are way to many drivers and very little freight. So brokers are having a field day,w-h-o-r-i-n-g- the loads to the cheapest person out there...
At this stage in this cut throat w-H-O-R-E- business? It goes to the cheapest driver willing to take it for his lunch money and all you can eat lot lizzard buffet coupon
lol.
The kick in the A.Z.Z.Z.Z.Z. is we made more 25 years ago and actually had something that resembled a good lifefor are family and loved ones..
Know we got people living in there trucks, crapping in the trucks and running down the road for canned FOOD AND FUEL..So very sad but thats the truth....They got us by the B.A.L.L.S AND THEY NO IT
My own opinion and you will all disagree. But the man or woman with the truck payed off is the one that will win in this RECESSION WE ARE IN.....
Good luck to the person with a fancy large car and a 3,000 payment.
I AM DONE CRYING TIME TO GO LOOK FOR A CHEAP LOAD AND RUN DOWN THE ROAD PISSED OFF AT BROKERS AND CHEAP FREIGHT..LOL,LOL,LOL

Used to haul for some fairly decent produce brokers:M&G of Pharr,TX.,John Jerue,Wayne Wisham.
I don`t think there are any good brokers left on the east coast now.Driver's Line Thanks this. -
If you use a load board just keep your eyes open, i look for older MC numbers and ask for advance and quick pay. CH and Allen lund are the biggest so they will cut rates bad to keep for them selves so they stay afloat. There are some good brokers out there and i cant say ive found some very good paying loads on load boards before, just gotta watch for it and call. Not sure if you can find anything good at this point though.
TQL is another bad one, but they pay quick and advance, i got them one time. Had a truck empty in OK and was looking for a load back to MI, instead i found a load out of lawton to casa grande, az. It was around 1000 miles, TQL needed it gone as they had a truck fall out. I called on it expecting to hear a rate of $1200, they started at $2000 and i countered with $2800, they settled at $2600...... This was when fuel was 87c/gallon in OK!!!!! When a rate of 1.25 was a good one, just makes you think how much the ##holes keep for themselves.Driver's Line Thanks this. -
im just a company driver but i've had my fair share with Ch and I crinch everytime I have to deal with them. The only good thing that I gather from CH is they pay quickly.
Driver's Line Thanks this.
