I never said I took the load. They had no reason to bump up their price. You're not bumping $2 up to $3.50 through negotiation. They know some sucker will take the load eventually. Nothing they post is urgent.

And if they're really booking loads that can pay $3.50 and are posting them for $2, then that means they're not even looking for a good carrier. They're hoping to find a sucker. So, even if they do offer more, why do I want to keep them in business? I want them to fail. And open that freight up to reputable brokers that will actually offer a decent rate right off the bat.

I gotta agree with this. Both CHR and AL are the same in this regard. I had called on a few AL loads over a year ago and just quit calling. The offers were downright insulting. Out of the blue they called on a posted truck a couple weeks ago and offered a good rate. So I completed their carrier agreement and booked it. CHR was the same way, except mostly on loads posted on their internal board. When CHR posts on a load board, they're usually getting to the point they want it moved now versus later.

No need to get hurt feelings over it. Just say no to the low offer and move on.
