I'm Looking For Information On Retrofitting A T680 Or W990 Built Without Keyless Entry.

    Background
Found Out A Truck Was Built Without Keyless Entry Due To Supply Chain Shortages And I'm Looking
For Options To Remedy This Issue. Figured It May Be A Common Issue Or Topic To Those Finding
Similar Trucks Built In The Same Timeframe.

    Parts
I Think I've Found The Module And Need To Locate Some Remotes (Unless Someone Here Has A Module And Remotes Before I Lock The Others Down) NOT Looking At Aftermarket, Looking For Factory "Plug And Play"

    Research
Looking For Some Advice If Anyone Has Already Done This. I Tried Searching Google, Facebook And This Forum Before Creating This Post, But To No Avail.

    Questions:
    (1) Where Are The Connector Plugs On The Wiring Harness For This Kit?
    (2) What Settings In The ECM May Need Changed If Any At All.
    (3) Anything Else I May Want To Consider Or Advice You Have On This Topic?

    Summary
If Someone Has Been Down This Route And Has Any Advice, Or Selling The Parts I Need To Do This Retrofit I Would Be Glad To Know IF Its Possible And What It Would Entail To Do So. Thank You For Your Help And Advice!!!

What about an aftermarket remote start unit that does that? I don’t think I’d hook up the remote start capabilities but the rest could be good and maybe cheaper.

I Considered That But Most Are Hardwire Units And Need Splicing Which I Am Fully Capable of Doing But Prefer To Utilize A Factory Plug And Harness If Adding A Factory Module Can Prevent Invasive Wiring. Small Details But That Is Why I Am Leaning To The Factory Unit Instead Of Aftermarket.

Exactly this. Just buy Factory and have the peace of mind. Even a hood latch. Buy factory. My doorman one made it 2 months...

    The_Kenworth_w990 Thanks this.

Talk to your dealer. Rh door module needs replaced and then remotes programmed. Very easy to swap
