I wonder if I could get more information from the guys who worked for JB Hunt as an owner operator with their own authority. I talked to a few guys but I was hoping to get more feedback here on TruckersReport.com
Thank you all responders.
Has anyone worked for JB Hunt with their own authority??

I Pulled a load brokered load from JB Hunt I had $250 in detention time on my invoice that they said they will Gladly pay because it was a Target load and they Never paid it. So I let the Greedy SOB's Keep the money & I never Hauled any more loads for these Skunks. If they offer me $$$$$ / Mile we will never do business with them again. And as far as their so called dedicated runs goes they have them and they are usually the loads that they can't cover or Loads that are Heavier than JB's Mama Tush & you need a wrecker to haul it meaning you will avg. 3 MPG on that Fat Load and they will try to sell it to you as ( It's a drop&hook Driver, this load will get you home every night Driver or this load will keep you busy Driver) & so on. As if they gave a Hoo Haa about you or any other driver. To them you are just a sucker for going home loads..
and from what that JB dipstick broker That Called me to offer these Junk loads he said that these loads pay $1.35 per mile back then when fuel was $2.5-$2.80 / Gallon...
so if you are getting 5 mpg your fuel cost on that load =.55 cpm-$1.35=80cpm-truck payment.-insurance -Maintenance-road tax-you are left with less than driver wages to haul their trash as if you were born to serve these Ripoffs .
An OOOOOOOOOH yeaaah just when you thought you are really getting that $1.35/mile cheap load soon you will find that they pay airline miles which means $1.35X10%=13.5 cent per mile so they will actually pay you $1.35-.135=$1.21/mile How do you like them apples driver ? & the the dirty devil's are just trying to help you driver..
& That CH Robinson Schmucks practice the same tricks they get rich scamming drivers

I'm also looking for more info on JB Hunt. I'm thinking about driving regional SE for them and their incentives as well as cpm looks really good too. Any advice would be great

I figured it was too good to be true. Mainly because I don't see any O/O pulling their trailers, except containers. Told me avg 1.50 mi then 2 weeks later they say avg 1.70
-
they do have O/O's pulling the OTR trailers, They are always looking for contractors
-
Yeah but I don't see them like I used to. I live in the N.East. They being a mega carrier you think I'd see them all over.
-
I heard a year ago JB Hunt was getting out of most of their Trucking and going to use trains. In other words, when you drop your trailer, those trailers then will be loaded on trains then shagged to a local towns or cities.
This I heard during a stocks report on the news. As to how much or how little, I am not sure of but it is one of a couple trucking outfits to be careful with. Another would be Boeing, why? Because it is partnered with Boeing the defense contractors and a part of the government sequestering.
Hope this helps.Excorcist1 Thanks this. -
the lease and O/O and teams still get a lot of miles, Most of JB is regional but all the companies are gonna be regional in the future.
