This morning (180128) I received a call from one of my drivers who said he heard on the radio only the end part of a report purportedly announcing that California's CARB law (Truck & Bus Rule) had been repealed and would take effect in 2019.
I quickly booted up my computer, and searched the web for confirmation, but came up with nothing. This alone suggests to me that the law still stands. Does anyone out there have any information regarding the current & future state of the CA's Truck & Bus Rule?

Probably about as often as you post absolutely hilarious replies to serious questions.

"I heard about it from a friend, who heard it from his cousin, who heard about it from a guy at a truck stop, who heard it on the radio."

California is the last state to take a step back on environmental protections. They are fighting against the arrogance/ignorance of the federal Republicans.

Recently the EPA released an article about modern "emissions" diesel motors being more or less the same level of "emission efficient" as a properly running re-manufactured, pre-emissions motor.

I don't see how california can force ALL trucks to be compliant by 2023. With 2010 or newer engines.

    MHC Thanks this.
