Has there been a sudden decline in hiring in trucking? I had a prelim date to start school training with Schneider on May 9th, but the recruiter seems to be delaying getting the application over to me. I have mild sleep apnea and was emailing back and forth with people from isleep about my compliance report when suddenly they stopped responding to any of my emails. The recruiter said he will get back to be as soon as he hears something but I can't help thinking something is up. I need to get on the road with a company ASAP.

All signs point to the economy getting ready to drop off a cliff.

    Good luck.

I have a mastiff. I think he can handle the hunting, given the "gifts" he's recently been dropping at the back door.

And on a side note, to that family of rabbits: They mark everything back there. Use your noses and choose better next time. Well...not that you'll get a chance. This was to...rabbits in general. Lol

    No slowdown..

Its more of a driver market than ever. The ones with a clean record and experience can shop around and all but demand their pay.

It is likely you might be getting bumped by slightly more seasoned drivers that have yet to achieve super trucker status.
