First off, I'd like to say I overall like the company I work for. That being said, I've heard some nasty things at the terminal (like most companies) and have never had said things happen to me. Should I talk to HR / etc. — or is there something else I can do?
Within the past few days I've gotten threatened with a wellness check (and them claiming they've been trying to get in contact with me, when they weren't). Even telling other drivers to tell me to call, when there was never a message or call for me to know otherwise.
For context: The shipper was closed on weekends and someone said they'd reach out (which they didn't), and I had already tried to look up hours & call the shipper, to no avail. So naturally, I decided to wait until Monday morning.
On top of this, every time I stop to do a simple brake test or restroom break they ask me why I am stopped. I have heard other drivers complain about not being able to use the restroom at all unless in sleeper or on their 30. 1-2 short breaks is what I take in a typical 11 hr drive shift (and I can't exactly just pee in a bottle or on the side of the road). I just don't know a professional way to tell them I can't hold it for 8+ hours, and can't go just anywhere to do my business. Not only that, but I have a pet in the truck (which is on file w/ them).
I get they have to push me to drive the most miles I can, the quickest I can... sometimes to try and make impossible deadlines. I get them getting angry at shippers for overloading and then taking it out on who they can... the normal company stuff. But I've never had a company yell at me or threaten to "prepare for the worst" (direct quote of them threatening to punish me) for using the restroom, even at my previous (mega carrier) employer.
Drivers, if you have any solutions for me, advice, or similiar stories please let me know. I will try anything to prevent this from happening again, whether it be from my side or theirs.

Why work for sheet bag companies like that. Those are the type of companies that need to be put out of business. So do your part and leave.
