I have been asked to haul fireworks, so I have a question.

Can you haul unplacarded hazmat without having hazmat insurance?

Don't toss cigarettes. I only know I've hauled Ice cream with insurance for it.

Have you considered talking to your insurance company?

Even fireworks use the 1,000 lbs rule. I hauled a few loads back in my time with Swift. Costco loads from DC to store, so usually only one display.

Now I run auto parts with explosives in them (air bag, seat belt). Again no placard needed if under 1,000 lbs.

As to the op's question, sorry can't help with that.
