    Or you go to yarding on something and the window in the back of the bunk lands on the mattress and you have 85’ of cable piled on top of the truck. Parted cables are some of the scariest #### I’ve ever seen.

    I’ve seen creases in the roofs of many retired old winch trucks in my bone yard travels.

    I was straight off the truck when I had one let go. It came right at me, piled the cable up on the winch and beat the back wall and roof cap of the bunk to death. Couldn’t even salvage the window regulator out of the back wall. Was a little wet and windy in there until I got it home and put a bunk on it.

    Those pics were taken 27+/- years ago when I was young(er) The only winch I would use now is the one on my boat trailer.......
