I see them from time to time headed to Lemont or Joliet, but I've never actually ran into a driver. They're like unicorns, you get glimpse but never catch one.

I apologize for not seeing this earlier. It is inappropriate for me to post paystubs but there is a reason you do not hear much negative at all about Hausmann. We are well paid, and have a large portion of the gas work in the Bakken patch, plus some Colorado and Wyoming. I live in Williston and am home every night as a contractor. Yes, they have high standards and the hire on inspection is quite through, but the staff from owners down is a family environment. It makes you step up your own game. The company drivers run absolute first class equipment and are paid in top 5 percent of industry... they work extremely hard. Downsides? Minor quibbles not worth mentioning... they have the work, the pay, the reputation and quality you want to see as both a contractor and a driver.

Really good company....if you can get hired. They pay a lot and start at +100k / year. Top notch equipment and service. They want you to live in Grand Forks (not sure if it's a deal breaker but that's what I was told).

Worked for Jeff some years ago. yea very nice equipment. The owner owns many banks in the GF area. From what i have been told all handed down from hard working parents and grandparents; the American way. Simply put, you live in your truck. you should not be getting fired for stepping on a Taco bell sauce packet and getting the carpet dirty. (True story) They honestly care WAY more about their equipment than they do their drivers. With the exception of Jeff who lives in a dream world everyone else at the company is very genuine. Owner wanted me gone after i injured my back (non work related) so made up some excuse about me driving an unloaded trailer back to GF with a flat. when i asked why he didn't point that out while he was standing there visually observing me unload my gear from the truck the excuse turned into " well i was told you went out and drank alcohol while the truck was parked at a truck stop in SD. mind you i had, on several occasions, met up with other employees including Jeffs son to have a beer or 2 while on the road. Long story short good pay if you can put up with the petty BS. You want to be a top driver? Hope you got 2 log books. some how Hausmann can get from WY to OK and back and load again without a reset. HMMM. nobody i know who was unwilling to do that still hauls for them. Be ready to have your truck gone over with a fine tooth comb when you take time off. anyone who has worked oil and gas knows its not a sanitary job. you don't run if its snowing. if it rains your expected to get truck washed within 24 hours. if it rains right after you wash it your expected to get it washed again. your also expected to stay off the gravels/scoria as much as possible as if you run a gravel your expected to get your truck washed.

I have 2 good friends who have worked there. You're spot on. Things have really gone downhill with new people in dispatch that don't have a clue how to plan or how long things take. There has been a mass exodus of drivers. Avoid unless you want to work 20 hours a day and be washing and polishing when you need to be sleeping. They absolutely care more about their equipment and revenue than their drivers. Honestly for what they expect they don't pay near enough. You could make as much wearing flip flops, swinging doors, and running an ELD right now.
