those accidents will not affect you GETTING your CDL, but if you go to work for your dad, it VERY WELL may affect his insurance rates.

and if you continue to have accidents, anyone else you try to go to in the future, may very well TURN YOU DOWN..

You will not be insurable, and I'll tell you why .
There is no way to defend you in court for what would be your 3rd accident in 2 years .

You need 1 to drop off

Just be careful with your dad's equipment. It'd be a shame to get fired by your own dad

Note to everybody going on about insurance. Any of you care to guess how many drivers are RIGHT NOW TODAY driving a CMV for a mega with 3+ recent (within 5 years) accidents? Anybody?

Are you able to read and comprehend? That post was directed to the people going on about insurance and the OP not being insurable. My comment is calling all of that BS. Most of the mega's are self insured. Most insurance carriers set rates based on many different factors not just an accident or two. We don't even know if any claims were filed on either of those accidents. I know an insurance agent that told me almost 2 years ago that their actuarial tables are based primarily on the CLUE history. Because we don't know the minutia of those accidents we don't even know if an insurance claim was even filed. Just because there is a MVR report of an accident does not mean an insurance company will quote a rate based on that. It gets irritating reading comments about a subject when it is clear the person commenting is clueless. << No pun intended!

His Dad could find out right now with 1 phone call. Why hasn’t any of this been discussed yet? Someone will hire him I’d put money on it. I’ve seen ads no more than 2 in 5 yrs. His Dad should charge him back for % increase and make him buy his own Truck ASAP IMO nothing like a little responsibility to motivate someone. No more accidents though be careful and Best Wishes Sincerely

thing is, newly licensed, no experience, try and find an insurance company to cover him.

gonna be one heck of a down payment and monthly premiums.

    and ONE accident......good bye Chuck....

His father could only get an estimate. However if an underwriter did take the time to go look through the CLUE database. Discover what training program the father has. What type driving will the son do will son be driving alone?. I could go on with several topics that go into a rate quote. It is absolutely amazing that all these Insurance experts are driving trucks, why are they not selling policies? Jeez!

My Dad would probably make Me Drive while He slept and pay me with food and smokes. Ins? LOL Things have changed a lot. Can’t worry too much about it. I miss the old days sometimes. Everyone seems too stressed out these days.
