I miss the old days too. However I don't live there. As for as stress goes I totally agree. Actually I have been a bit angry over the last few days because I had someone to use me to get another look after having their first application rejected. I got this person to orientation and while there the carrier found out this person lied about something trivial but enough to get them sent home! Makes me feel like a dupe and about to just stop helping people. So yes I am a bit "stressed out" right now!
Have 2 accidents in the last 2 years will it effect me getting cdl

I didn’t mean you in particular. I meant in General because of all the oversight these days. The 14 hr rule - Ins Co CLUE- PSP- CVSA-Cameras everywhere .Many things today would have never been considered. I have to put it out of mind a lot and just work too much to worry about. Easy for me to become Cynical almost 2nd nature. As far as OP is concerned I agree He’s not out of options despite what others have told him.
-
Thing is we don't know this. Did those accidents also involve alcohol? reckless driving? Speeding? Was anybody hurt? Was claims filed? This was my primary point. There is not enough information. Can't say for sure. I know based on the OPs school comment these accidents should have been in non CDL required vehicles, however what about CMVs under 26,001? See my point?Rideandrepair Thanks this.

What we're forgetting here is if his Dad owns the truck and pays the insurance this is a tax deductible item, it just comes down to how much his Daddy wants to help him out, that is assuming it'll be higher fees, if the insurance flat out refuse to insure the vehicle then your in a lot of trouble huh?buddyd157 and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Yes Insurance is a cost of doing business but I am not sure if it all can be deducted. No being an OO all I can do is ask others that do this. If this were before the CDL came into effect this guy would be getting a (whatever the state called it) learners license and would then go "daddy" would submit an affidavit of skill and off we go. Not as easy to do these days. I suspect with all the other regulatory hoops this guy's father has to go through insurance is just a thing. I would love to know more about those 2 accidents however!
buddyd157 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
My dad said his insurance would insure me after a year of experience so what my dad and I talked about is we will be going as a team for the mean time and I’ll still be getting paid as we both will drive together until he is comfort or feels that I can drive alone.
The accidents were back in 2016 in June and I read after 3 years it will come off ur mvr? So by June 2019 it will take them off? -
Just one question. Was there any claims paid out on either of these accidents?
-
I think one was a claim
-
If a claim was paid out once your drivers license number is run the CLUE database will be accessed. Now this is not something to fear. However if information comes back there will be a rate quote. They will take all factors into consideration when making that rate. If nothing really changes the policy then there will be no basic problem. However there is a chance the company will bump the rate a bit. How much if at all depends on the information they have.
