Ya know, I'm as highly-principled as the next guy. I've gotten my pants in a wad over what I later considered to be "relatively stupid stuff". I get PO'ed over things that shouldn't bother me.
But frankly, I think this is laughable. Don't park there again. Simple. Lick your wounds and move on. Life is too short.
Geez.

The sign says nothing about "No Trucks", only unauthorized vehicles. If you are a customer save your receipt and go get 'em fido!
Remember your logbook is a legal document and can help you or hurt you if you have a 5 minute 4 inch line drawn on line 2.25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
What does the sign above that one say, seems like you are missing a picture of the top sign.

Yes earlier when the pics were posted up there was two different signs. The one missing stated "NO TRUCKS". Why was this photo removed? Just so you weren't caught in the wrong?

Where is the vid from the Dashcam?

Always a good idea to carry a spare gladhand. Would be funny to see the smug look on their face disappear as you whip one out to replace the missing one.

ShootThis, double_r and volvodriver01 Thank this.

Although I'm not inclined to believe that the parties were parked in the lot for only 5 minutes and all this went down...I do not like the unauthorized parking thing. It would be nice to hear what Walmart or the property owner has to say about this.
I have seen the towing scam go down before and if thats what it is then I call BS on the tow company. I much prefer a law where the police have to issue a parking ticket signed by the property owner in order to authorize a tow. This gives the vehicle owner a chance to escape. If they are a repeat offender the cops will figure that out. It's very hard, especially in a small community, for the cops to be in on the money stream. Maybe this small city can put together an ordinance to avoid this. Seriously if someones parked in the lot in the back, in their vehicle, and doing reasonable business with Walmart...sucking one in for a tow fee is not a good thing. They should be asked to vacate the lot. The tow operator should also never be allowed to tamper with the vehicle, except only the minimum to tow it if they are authorized by law.
