Yes, I still have my CDL A. I think I just need to do the DOT physical to get the interstate restriction removed as I haven't been an active driver.

I'm located in Millsboro, Delaware.

I applied to Roehl a few weeks ago to see what they could do but haven't heard anything. As far as OTR goes, they have the closest terminal about 2 hours I think from where I live. Haven't tried Schneider yet. I will contact them.

For intrastate household goods moving, is that a lot of lifting furniture? If it's just boxes and stuff I could probably do it, but I can't see myself lifting heavy/bulky furniture. I'm not the strongest guy

I will look more into the food service companies. Sounds like a really good idea to get the experience as an assistant then eventually as a driver. Not sure if there's any local food service companies.

Delaware? You are in either Chicken country (Perdue) or in container country (Seaports, Chester PA and the Cape Henry Canal bypass etc)

You will be treated as one without a CDL you will be likely going to refresher training in a CDL school etc.

That's how it seems since I got it like 10 years ago and have no experience. But it's not rocket science either. I live within a few minutes from a few chicken plants, so good guess :/
