I recently got my CDL permit while attending trucking school with CR England. Anyway, just hours before I was to take my road test and get my plastic I got DQ from the program for "past traffic violations". I still have the permit, but I don't know how to get my plastic.

Can anyone tell me how I can get my plastic so I can be OTR?

What and when are the past violations? Sometimes you have to wait out the hiring requirements. They are basically pretty close to the same at all the training companies.

Some companies train you and doesn't cost a thing but sign a drive for a X amount of time contract. Quit or get fired and then it costs you.

I'm not sure about your state, but some states there are businesses popping up that rent tractor trailers specifically for taking the road test. Then you could go from there.

The answer to your question is you don't.
You need a truck to take the road test.
Sounds like your past may not allow you to drive anyway so you may want to save yourself some time and money.

    CondoCruiser Thanks this.

Call a CDL mill type school. Many of them will "rent" you a truck to test in and bring it to the DMV for ya or have you hop on one of their testing appointments...for a fee of course!

You can test in a dump truck with trailer as long as the GVWR of the trailer is more than 10,000 pounds and the truck and trailer GVWR combination is greater than 26,001 pounds.

From what I understand though is most companies will not hire you unless you completed a school. However you may be able to get lucky with a small local company.
