Have CDL but haven't driven in awhile....

    Agreed with China town, call Sneider and Jim Palmer, they both offer paid training. Of course it will help if your MVR has stayed clean and you let them know you are mobile, willing to move. Also check career builder or such and type in 'driver trainee' you migth be surprised what you find. I'm in a similar situation as you , I drove a straight truck for a year, but since then Ive been out of it for a few years and I'm loving the sound of dirving aroudn the oil fields, ha.     A lot of companies now have what they call "Refresher Courses". Basically what its about is you ride with a trainer for X amount of weeks. It specifically targets drivers who have driven but have been out of it for a while. Averitt Express is one. Check the local ads in your area, Im sure youll find one.
