I simply like having a solid contract with work rules and good wages and benefits,...

I don't have to worry about getting fired for no reason,...As long as I perform my job as directed by the company I will have employment, And I will be payed for every minute of my time spent at work, If the boss want's me to wait at a shipper or receiver for hours I will be payed my hourly wage,

Can you say that you are payed for all of your time spent working???

If your a typical steering wheel holder your answer is no,....

Walleye, I respect your thinking and what you are saying. I also don't agree.

Thank you. Mr. Mastertech. Your comment is exactly why I am stepping out if this discussion.

Well, the other reason is because the question I asked was not answered. It was evaded.

I will cease and desist shooting arrows....at this time.

I believe Mr. Walleye has some good points, but I hope he can see well enough that I have a few as well.

As for the others, well....nuthin' to be said there. I withhold my arrows.

My concern is for the workers that do cross the line. The union finding their cars and taking pictures of the "scabs". Whats next? The old union playbook would be to slash their tires, follow them home, break their window, send pictures of their kids waiting for a school bus home. That kind of thing makes it very hard for me and I might say most "UnOrganized" Americans to support unions. Why do you suppose there is such a ground swell against card check. Most people could really care less because it doesn't effect them, but those same people having seen the brutish abuses say no to giving the unions an in of this type.

Do you have a copy of that "old union playbook" you speak of?

No actually, but I do have the police reports I wrote documenting crimes against persons and property. I also could forward a few hundred news articles. Or better yet why not just google "Union abuse" and hit the send key.

I guess the bottom line for me is IF the cause is just, then actions or threats detract from that.
Unions have a long history of less than savory actions that have tainted many folks against believing or supporting them. Hoffa didn't just go on a Sunday drive:)

There is good/bad/abuse in life. To come here and post on an old thread made me wonder your intent. Your above reply leaves no doubt: You filled out police reports. So are you Law Enforcement? Or did you cross a picket line? Just to be upfront I'm not pro or anti union but, lean towards pro. With that said if you crossed a union picket line-you got what you deserved.
