Be careful in Walmart parking lots if 2 girls ask for a ride,

Two girls have been reported to steal men's wallets.

    They use the following scam:

The girls wait in the parking lot of Walmart. Once they have spotted their victim, they will ask him for a ride to the city.

One will get on the passenger seat, the other in the back. Once on the road, the one in the back will take off her top and play with her boobs. The one in the passenger seat will ask he victim to pull over. Once the car stops, she will start fondling you and more while her friend in the back steals the unsuspecting victims wallet.

    I had my wallet stolen June 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th, & 29th. Also, July 1st & 4th, twice on the 8th, 16th, 23rd, 26th & 27th, and very likely again this upcoming weekend.

By the way, Wal-Mart has wallets on sale for $2.99 each. I found even cheaper ones for $.99 at the Dollar Store and bought them out in three of their stores.

Not recently, no. Back when I was younger hitchhiking was still somewhat popular so I would, especially in my car. Heck as a teenager it usually meant a great night during the summer as we had a lot of sleepaway camps and their counselors were from out of town or even overseas and would hitch to the bar. Give a cute one a ride and you could hang with her all night and into the morning.

Last time I even stopped for a fisabled car was in 2017 on a road trip back from California in my Suburban. 2 am, I-71 in Ohio and a car with two females was stopped not quite off the shoulder, dangerous area but a rest area was only a few miles ahead. Their car stopped charging, so I put my portsble jump pack on it and let them limp it into the rest area, get parked under sone lights and then I left.

Today I hear too many horror stories about robbery and assault to feel comfortable stopping, even when it seems legit. Coming from the towing industry I am accustomed to having strangers in my truck, it comes with the job, even stopping for random broke down cars, but lately even that is dangerous as a tower. There is a scam going around where the bad guy calls in a breakdown then robs the tow truck driver when they show up.

As a trucker, yes I have a few times with the last time being about 2007. Giving unauthorized passengers a ride has been against the regs for decades, although they rarely enforced it until recently. I picked up a woman walking at 2 am on a dark 2 lane road, US 6 between Honesdale and Waymart, PA and she seemed ok at first but then I could tell she way strung out and I couldn't get her out of the truck fast enough.

Another time, around 1999 or 2000 I picked up a young lady walking on 17K outside Newburgh, NY looking to go downtown and it was a few mile walk. I should have known she was off a little as Inhad a white panel van with no windows and no markings, and she hopped right in. Dropped her off no trouble, then she offered her sevices as a thank you, nope I'll pass!

In the late 60's it was common for servicemen to hitch a ride home for leave. All servicemen except the guys in the Air Force. Rumor had it that their ballet shoes wouldn't hold up under warm pavement. Just repeating the rumor.

Thought it was interesting that this guy was going from and to the places mentioned in GS's song. "Amarillo by mornin', up from San Antone.."

Didn't Johnny Cashs bus break down and nobody stopped? I heard Rod Stewarts limo broke down on the way to a concert and nobody picked him up either.
