3 points on your license, $290 fine (3 years ago). It is written up as failure to obey a traffic control device. I got caught going across 20.
Have you ever gotten in trouble for driving through Atlanta on I-20?

I've done 75/85 twice when I could see that 285 was jacked up to the high heavens. Can't say I recommend it, but hey, if you don't get caught, it's all good.

I do a good bit of LTL long haul if it isn’t rush hour I’m taking shortest possible way. I don’t have time to ‘eff around with BS.
This ain’t mega fleet work over here...JadeLove and stayinback Thank this. -
North/south, 285 is usually faster. East west on 20/85, there is a definite time savings and that's where the DPS hangs out.

Theres always parking at the pilot on that same exit too, that OP played with fire there. I ran through 20 one time ever through downtown Atlanta and that was my rookie year. I was fortunate to not get caught. OP, you showed very bad trip planning and an inability to obey signs. If you were close on your time you should not have gone past Madison. You can even park in Conyers. Theres a Walmart there, and they let you park on the east bound Frontage roadD.Tibbitt Thanks this.

That changes things for sure. When I posted that I didn't know your importance to the industry.lilillill Thanks this.

Yeah all it takes is one wreck and the whole plan goes south quickly..

I've done it countless amounts of times, on 20 75/85 Never once had a problem.
But we have a office/warehouse inside the loop. So always planned on saying I'm either going or coming from there.
If asked for a bol, dont uave one will get when I make pick up. Or dont have one just delivered office kept paperwork.
But everyone is right not supposed to do that. I have seen trucks pulled over -
Boy it sure sounds like a racket. Id wager georgia isnt shy about using ifta revenue to maintain those roads that the ifta payers are excluded from.
How is one supposed to plan around this? Nothing in my 2020 rand mcnally or truckerpath indicate its off limits. On the contrary the weigh stations on 20 make me say primary truck route. Am i looking in the wrong spot?nikmirbre Thanks this.
