I called a broker today one I've hauled several loads for and the rate was really low.
I think it was some kind of punishment cause he stated he had a issue with a load
I supposedly declined after accepting it. something along the lines that the load
"gained" several thousand pounds of wieght between booking and time of pick up.
I don't remeber it myself and think he's mistaken me and told him so.
I consider a booking for a certian weight, count and dims to be a done deal and any changes call for renagotiation.
I have had brokers before wanting to deduct when the something changed like tarpingg to no tarp.
How say you on this?
Have you ever had this happen?

No conspiracy here, flatbed rates really are in the toilet.

Bait and switch, happens with flat and RGN loads. Majority of the brokers would not know the difference between a smoke tarp and a lumber tarp let alone know what they peddle.
