You got in trouble for "unsurance"...if you had paid your "insurance", you wouldn't have anything to post here!

    Sorry...just couldn't resist!:biggrin_255:

Hah. I was NEVER 16; I can't attest to the stupid part, but I'm sure a few of my friends would be willing to do so for me. :biggrin_25522:

I was hauling oversize loads all over the country in 1987 with a suspended TX. liscence.I didn't get the notice of the suspenision because I moved before it came.I was driving for a company which no longer exists Roseway out of Des Moines.
I was getting a new job and found out my liscense was no good about 2 weeks before the suspension was up.
I never reveal this now days and have not for a long time.Over ten years don't mention it I say.

Tell it exactly the way you just did. Since it was less than ten years ago it will show up...so better to admit it and be up front about it, than to get the boot for withholding information.

I think if it ask you you have to list it but some companies do ask do you have you have any suspentions within X years amount of years or have you have any supspentions for longer than x amount of months and/or years. I guess what im saying is it depends on what the company wants to know.

Do they have the resourses to go back 20, 30 years? I prefer to think not, but I would hate to be disqualified for a job simply because I lost my license for 60 days when I was sixteen. or had my NC driving Privilege revoked for a year 21 years ago.

Even worse, disqualified for not revealing that info, get the job, then have it found out and lose the job. I must say. it hasn't popped up on either of my last 2 driving jobs, but I can't remember if I put them on the App.

It will likely appear on your motor vehicle record. Non disclosure of information asked for on an application is treated by an employer in the same manner as lying. Most employers will immediately terminate employment if a lie is discovered on their application.

If you provide a negative response to a critical question, you will almost always have the chance to explain the circumstances surrounding that negative answer. The employer may then decide to not hold that incident against you.

So it boils down to one of three things: 1. Lie, get caught during the application process and have that incident appear on your DAC. 2. Lie, risk getting fired at any point after hiring, and then have that firing appear on your DAC. 3. Be truthful and have a shot at getting hired.
