That tragic accident was pertaining to old drivers some as in his case are too old. That Conway Truckload liar is on the cover of a magazine at almost every truckstop in this country. The man is in his 60's claiming to have over 50 years of experience I feel sorry for him. However I used to work for that company and I understand the enviroment that cultivates that kind of BS.

Something you will appreciate then being from the old school.. My dads summer job during college was working the dock for Associated Transport in Maspeth, (Brooklyn) NY.. He moved onto sales at a world wide company after selling the company he started and was worried when I quit college to drive full time but will now admit it has worked out well for me.. I make it a point to hang with my dad as much as possible since he is the man to me.. We're about 5 hours apart now but my parents remain my two favorite people in the world..

I work for Freight not CFI or Truckload.. We bid by hire date so you really can't BS.. I guess you could BS about total experience but then we'd call you a 50/50 once we figured you out..

You might not believe this but I kinda figured that from your avatar.I also did not direct any of my posts toward you until you questioned me.I'am well aware of the differences between you and truckload.

No doubt.. I'm a lot younger than a lot of you but know a little about LTL.. The Yellow driver that helped get up and running when I first started at CCX in the city taught me a few things.. He showed me pictures he carried in his wallet of the odd combo CF used to get from the NY line to the Ohio line since Pa did not allow doubles at that time. It was kinda like a straight truck but kinda like a set of doubles without the pivot point.. Must have been from the late 60's..

I have the utmost respect for longtime drivers as all the senior drivers here that know me at Con-way understand.. I just hope that all of the older long time drivers understand that just because it's different that does not mean it's bad.. I kick off my work boots and wear leather flip flops while I'm driving because they're comfortable, I normally don't run 19 because I run the company channel, and away from work you would never think I drove a truck because I look like a college yuppie I guess.. That said, I pull a set up and down I95 now with 8 years of accident free driving - that's worth something, right?

I wished I was a rookie too so I could be a whole lot younger.
