Holding the trucking company responsible for the customers' shoddy facility isn't 'getting it right'.

I agree. But if a trucking company knowingly contributes to a spill or a discharge of materials and does not immediately stop the unloading he's liable.
In other words, if your driver is standing there unloading while a visible plume of cement dust is blowing out the top of the silo and he just continues to stand there and doesn't take any corrective action and doesn't quit unloading, the driver and his company are subject to being cited.
I don't like some of the rules any better than anybody else but, for now at least, they are the rules. We have two choices. Follow the rules or try to sneak by. Sneaking by can get expensive real fast.

One place where I delivered cement powder, some clown built a sub-division beside the cement plant, then the people that moved there complained about being dusted. Of course the cement plant caught the heat from the local small town government.

Are these pics all showing cement? Is one type of bulk product more at risk for these abuses than another? I'm coming down to Central TX come September and I'm wondering if my opportunities will continue to be in chemical tanks, or will I have to be less picky where I end up.

Coastal Transport has a terminal in Austin. I know what the website has, but they have, at times, hired new cdl grads at some terminals.

We're in town right now moving into our new digs, then back to KY to tie up loose ends. Coming down I35 this past weekend, I saw a lot of Coastal's trucks. Just couldn't read the company name through that funky paint job.

Pneumatic bulk tank company will pull 30 to 40 year old fatigued tank out of salvage the yard, dump a butt load of money in it to get it to pass a DOT inspection and expect you to use that junk. IMG_20180221_142803.jpg
This one was made in 1978, they sent it out to be repaired by a so called tank expert. It came back with #### welds so I will never pull it again.

Found this on FB looks like a 1960's made tank.

Did you find a nice place to live? Austin has lots of nerdy people; highly educated and forward thinking.

Yes but if a driver see that spill happening while unloading and they don’t stop then they most certainly deserve a fine. If anything just for being st#pid.
