I don't think the original owner is involved anymore, at least if I remember the story correctly.
Have you heard of FTF? (F2F)

Yeah. A few years ago they screwed over a bunch of drivers. Then, a few months later they reconstituted and became a somewhat reputable company. I haven't heard a bad thing about them since the reorganization......which has been several (5+) years.

F2F Select is the division that I can tell you about. I leased to them for around six months. Everything that they told me from the cost of leasing on was accurate. They’ll give you a copy of everything. You’ll give them 20% of everything (while I was there anyway) they will not let brokers pay you a fuel surcharge. The rate is the rate no breaking it up. You will pick your loads from DAT or Truckstop load boards. They also give you access to all their other boards like JB’s 360, TQL load board ect. They were straight with me. I only quit because I couldn’t get passed given them 20% of my revenue to do nothing more than they were doing. I can do everything myself and keep the 20%. They will rent not lease you a trailer. So that is a cost that you can do away with by saving money and getting your own. They didn’t at the time, have any fuel discounts. So finding your own fuel card savings is something that you’ll need to do ( TSD Openroads Texarkana, AR).
They also had another division that they’ll dispatch you. They have their own customers but I wasn’t interested in that so I couldn’t tell you anything about that side of the company. Shoot me a message if you need anything else. I’ll try to answer for you. F2F is owned by Max Trans out of Jackson, TN. They own Max Trans, F2F and another outfit that does hazmat trash. It hasn’t been owned by Bill for probably 10 years F2F has like 600+ O/O’s now. My advice is to lease on and let them help teach you to be an owner. Don’t waste to much time there. Everything that they do for you can be done yourself in an hour once or twice a week.
