I shouldn't of singled you out earlier .. I know how you operate from some conversions we have have had previously..
And actualy you don't fall into the category of the jumpers I was referring about .. I shouldn't of lashed out at you
Have you / Will you diversify to stay in business?

5 companies in one town could make a good mechanic shop and parts store open up and get a bulk discount ordering trucks and trailers in that area, everyone everywhere "diversiffying" just drives trailer scarcity -
Competing on price….Bahahahah
The very first thing I tell a new customer to make sure we are on the same page is, “I won’t be the cheapest but I’ll #### well be one of the best guys you’ve had”
And to this date so far with my local customers I’ve had 3 leave me….and 2 come crawling back because they aren’t getting the “service” the new company was promising.Siinman, Brettj3876, GreenPete359 and 3 others Thank this. -
That is what I figured as well. Like a few months ago… ohhh I’m switching to open deck because van sucks… only to find 2 months later open deck sucks also at times… but they was laughing at open deck a year ago when van was rollin’ lololol

$275 X 12 = $3300
$5/m X 600 miles = $3000
In those 12 hours we use maybe $200 worth of fuel, how much are you using over the road?D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
I understood what y’all were going for. I was just tossing in my two cents. Nothing wrong with a switch with purpose but bouncing back and forth is not the best idea at times. Sometimes people do it with success and find a niche, sometimes they disrupt the flow of the river and F people over.

If people are strictly running the spot market then the argument against people who switch trailers and follow the money saying that they will just mess everything up almost supports the argument that spot rates are in fact the result of supply and demand, and not the brokers setting the rate as we see argued so many times here.
Like I said, when you start trucking make sure and choose your trailer wisely because you’re not allowed to switch for fear of disrupting the entire universe.Siinman, Czar_Zero, Midwest Trucker and 5 others Thank this. -
