If it is better, and they give him a chance, sure. I just threw out one I have heard of that might hire him.

Millis Transfer hires felons and ex-cons on a case by case basis. You will need $500.00 for fees, but it's well worth it. Their school is in Burleson,TX and they provide meals and hotel room while training.
When were you released from prison?

Lots of changes since you last drove; you probably won't recognize the rules and regulations in place now, including mandatory Electronic Logs. No more paper logs.
The state of Texas will pay for cdl school, no cost to you or you can attend a trucking company cdl school, which is the fastest way to get started. Do the online applications; they're better than a phone call, especially if you've had problems in the past. This gives the companies time to look over the application and consider it before talking to you.

Raider Express won't touch him. They won't hire or train anyone with a felony, no matter what the felony or how long it has been. Asked and answered by them in 3 different ways. Sad because their school is completely free with no contract and a job offer when you get your cdl.

Google companies and start making phone calls. Many companies will train you but you'll owe them for a year. You WILL find something if you look hard enough. Good luck! It's out there, man.
