my husband applied to mcelroy last week and hasn't heard anything from them yet, he has gotten prehires from all the other companies he applied to. Could this mean they don't need drivers right now? or just taking their time? he needs to make a decision on what company he wants to go with.

That's the way it works, you apply at 10 and see who calls you first. It's who picks YOU, not who YOU pick.

I did that a few years back when I was looking for a local gig. I applied for the USPS, Fedex, DHL, and a few others. Luckily the USPS was the 1st to call me back as I heard from some TTO's that they waited 6+ months to hear back from the USPS.

I'd do as Samurai suggested. Get in touch just to make sure they even received his application. Then you can ask what their hiring process is and what to expect.

Definitely do a follow-up call and find out what your status is, make sure they received your application, do they have any questions? do you meet their qualifications/hiring zone? ect.

    Could be your location.

If you lived in AL or TX. They would be all over him.
