I go into a KW dealer to get the turbo looked at- I noticed oil around it. The issue is in head gasket and is replaced.

I leave dealer and the stop engine immediately comes on. I go back and they look at it and fix it.

I leave again, check engine light comes on.. they cannot figure out the issue and tell me I should be fine and the engine would not derate. I'm convinced and leave for a run. 2 Hours later, the light comes up... "3 hours, engine will derate"

WTH is going on.. anyone else have this issue on a new truck?

Thats strange. Best advice, dont go back to that shop ever again... With the derate coming just gotta bite the bullet and find nearest shop.... and basically start over again, explaining the whole situation...

How does the truck feel? Like something off? Normal?

The truck (drive*) feels fine but the engine sounds a bit off. Its all under warranty but I cannot afford to keep wasting time.

It could be as simple as something not being tight, or a sensor that got missed and not plugged in... strange they would send you out with the engine throwing codes... what a crap shoot dealer!

Its a bunch of young kids and nobody really knows anything and they have to call or reach out to engineers to figure out where to start diagnosing an issue. Thank you for your kind words! Will do. I was looking for other people with similar issues but didn't find much.

Will explain once I know WTH is up with mine, hopefully it'll help someone down the road!
