A prehire letter isn't a commitment, on your part, for any trucking company. Get as many as you can, then sort through the offers and pick the one you like best. I remember some drivers were required to have 2 or 3 prehire letters before being allowed to enroll in CDL school.

If you've got your CDL already call Button in Dixon, Ca. They hire newbies with no experience. You gotta be able to pass the drive test at least.

Are you sure it was an upper receiver? Uppers are not serialized and are not considered firearms per the BATF. The lower receiver is the only part that is serialized and requires the BATF form 4473 to filled out.
Now California may have some other laws regarding the sale of such parts because they are scary, but the uppers and component parts for the upper receivers are not serialized.
In Colorado, I can buy all the uppers I want but God forbid the magazine holds more than 10 rounds.

All the companies I deal with have a rule of either 3, 5, 7 or 10 years on misdemeanors. It will be very difficult to find a company that will hire your with a 1 year misdemeanor. I work with 35 different companies and they all have the same rule, just different time frame in the years.
