I sometimes carry drums of paint. Class 3. Rented trailers have to have sticky placards. Flammable 3 are never around, tons of Combustible 3. Is paint Flammable or combustible? No one seems to know.

Check the information and UN number on the bill of lading and placard accordingly,...

Paint is flamable, Combustable is something that may explode if burning under pressure (think combustion gas engine) without being an actual explosive.

Combustible is a US classification. Diesel Fuel [Flash point 141 deg] is considered a combustible here but would be considered a flammable in the rest of the world. You an 'over placard' a combustible w/ a flammable placard but not the other way around.

Check the Shipping papers. If the shipper says is is "Combustible", then that is what it is.
