So Ive worked for quite a few companies so far. At the moment I am waiting on two job applications with companies that require hazmat. Both have been processing for over a month now while most other non hazmat companies get thru your application in about two weeks. Is this just a coincidence or does this being a hazmat job delay the application process? Worked for Estes Express Lines and them being hazmat also took almost 3 months for the application to process.

For my latest gig (hauling fuel)--from the time I submitted a completed app on their website, until the time they responded: 3 MONTHS.
That's right....that is NOT a typo.
Your takeaway: constipation is everywhere--especially if your new job app involves endorsements and/or hazmat.
Patience is indeed a virtue in this business.

The company that I’m with took six weeks to hire me then three months orientation and waiting on a truck. I was paid hourly during the three months at least.

I am trying to get hired by Averitt Express in Greer, South Carolina. Applied about 5-6 weeks ago now. Third time I apply to them, they always respond to each application, usually saying they filled up. Everybody wants to work there its one of the few companies people like. Hopefully I actually make it in this time.
