I was subject to a very thorough pat down.
Later, while I was still quite pissed- I learned it was because I had an underarmor fleece on, and it seemed “weird to the full body scanner.”

Miami has been fun for me also. I tried flying from Miami with hand tools in my carry on. TSA regs state hand tools 7 inches or shorter are allowed but final decision rests with the TSA officer. I've flown several times with the same tools. Miami TSA screener told me I could not have them in carry on. I didn't want to pay $35 to check a bag, so what were my options? Remembering my TWIC card is issued by TSA, I told the screener I have a TSA security clearance card and gave him my TWIC.
His supervisor quickly cleared me with the tools and told me to have a nice flight. It was kind of funny.

 

Just booked a flight, used my Twic number for the known traveler express check in whatever the hell it was, and it took the number!
