Does anyone know if it's possible to obtain a hazmat endorsement while on probation? I have 8 months probation for abusive communication to 911 (misdemeanor B). Also I'm not actually convicted of the crime either. I was given a deferred adjudication offer where the conviction is withheld and the case is dismissed as long as I successfully complete the probation program. So it won't end up on my record, but I'm wondering if it's possible to obtain the TSA clearance during the probation period?

You cussed out a 911 dispatcher and they took you to court?

I think you're okay because your offense is classed as a misdemeanor instead of a felony.Tb0n3 Thanks this. -

I got my parole officer pregnant and I got caught buying a 36 inch chainsaw at Lowes, and they still passed me for TWIC and HAZMAT. Stuff happens, we won't judge you. This has got to be a good story though, we all know the justice system is hardly perfect on a good day. To say it mildly.

Disqualifying Offenses and Other Factors | Transportation Security Administration
If your conviction isn't on the permanent disqualification or on the 7 year disqualification list at the link above you are eligible for HazMat endorsement, as far as TSA is concerned. TSA makes the decisions about who can get HazMat endorsement.El Hueso Thanks this. -

I bet he is though. Would have been a good one. I agree. My whole point is, there are 5 sides to every story, and I really wouldn't judge. I want to hear it. It must have been good. It's not like he robbed a bank or got caught running fentanyl for the triads down I-10. I have heard of people peeing on trees getting indecent exposure charges and people killing one another being charged with assault. The justice system is bizarre.
