I've got it....I think I've pulled one HM load in the last three years. However, when (and if) I quit OTR, I hope to get back into hauling propane or other tanker work, so I'll keep it.

The other problem i had was, hello remember Oklahoma city? An actual truck was used and hazmat was used. But just because the person(s) perpetrating the crime had lily white skin no fuss and no fingers were raised.
BOOM 6 yrs later we have something happen not directly related to trucks and hazmat and all of a sudden they now have to check your underwear in order for you to obtain the hazmat endorsement
.
If the persons responsible for 9/11 were white, what would be the response towards homeland "(in)security?"
We as a society are stupid. -
Did the OKC bomber have a CDL with valid HazMat endorsement?
Was the truck used in the bombing properly placarded for the chemicals it had on?
OK then. These new rules, regulations, and background checks make about as much sense as new gun control restrictions. The criminals are going to do as they please no matter WHAT the law says...the only people jumping through the hoops are the law-abiding citizens....and the law-abiding citizens aren't the ones you need to worry about blowing up a building or shooting up a crowd of innocents.
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin -
As much as I hate it--this really is the crux of the problem--the whole haz-mat deal is just more smoke and mirrors--to make everyone feel good--McVay(may he continue to rot in Hell!)rented a Ryder 6 wheeler--the Sept. 11th scum--hijacked planes--Does anyone really believe if one of these(pick your own derrogatory adjective) wants to use a load of some kind of Haz-mat--they are gonna hang around getting a CDL and then a job? No they are gonna walk up behind some poor driver one night with a shotgun--and take his truck!
Problem is Washington knows this--so they keep playing their slight of hand tricks--while WE pay for it!
Just my $.02seawheeler, Powell-Peralta, kajidono and 1 other person Thank this. -

We set up the forwarding and filled out the change of address forms in the week before we moved so that's all good. The bill collectors switched over quite smoothly anyway. I was just wondering about it since it's been a while and whether calling that service that does the background checks would do any good.

I have it 'cause it's what I haul. We do 4 large tests per year on all kinds of hazmat rules and regs. I just finished my HAZWOPER which is the longest... 8 hours.
-
HAZWOPER? Isn't that the new 6,000-calorie sandwich at Burger King?
-
