hazmat/tanker question

    Ok, I already have my tanker endorsement, and I am waiting for my hazmat background check to come back. Will I just have to take the standard hazmat test and receive the "X" endorsement for hazmat/tanker, or is their a special test that I have to take that combines the 2, meaning I wasted my $11 already taking the tanker test?

    I believe the tanker test and the hazmat test are two seperate tests ... since you can add endorsements at any time you havn't wasted anything except your time by not taking them together. I think you will find that the hazmat test is alot more comprehensive than the tank test though.

    The hazmat test is separate . Vans and dumps also carry hazmat . You will also need additional hazmat training by your employer which will need to be renewed every 3 years . You need to carry a card showing this certification .
