I can tell you from a past clean up "Dawn dish soap" spilled, esp into a water way is a very serious hazmat event. You wouldn't think that. Its not transported as hazmat. But when it comes to drinking water and fish it is.

    Orange juice as well.
Next time you haul 43,000 pounds of Florida’s finest, think about the acidic content!;)
I swear I can still smell the oranges from the Tropicana plant in Bradenton,Florida-even though it’s about 1200 miles away! lol

Oh yeah. Last company I was with had a gig hauling Pepsi's concentrated syrup in the big square poly drums in cages from Carlisle, PA, to Columbus, OH. The way it was placarded you couldn't take it through the tunnels on the PA Turnpike so we had to run down 81 to 70 and catch 68. After the dock manager told me how acidic it is before it's mixed with water I decided I really wasn't interested in drinking sodas anymore. Haven't since. I can only imagine the havoc a load of that would cause in a waterway.

When I put Coke or Pepsi over my battery terminals to clean the acid off, I always wonder what it does to my stomach when I drink those sodas.

Well, your stomach is full of acid, soda or not, so probably not an issue. The soda is probably hard on your teeth though.

Going thru the heart of Columbus,Ohio and Indianapolis was off limits as well. Quite a few times I’ve seen drivers getting nailed by Columbus Police because they were hauling hazmat on I-70 going thru downtown when they were supposed to take the bypass route (I-270).
