I heard they keep you pretty busy during orientation. Sounds like there are tests, notes to take, studying to do. I won't have a need to cruise town. Sounds like their days start pretty early too.

It looks like a rental car from NC to Arkansas would cost me over $400. The bus ticket reimbursement would probably be around $150. It may be cheaper for me to fly in. Or drive my car. And fly back to Arkansas during home time and rice my car back home. Those greyhound bustrips suck.

Keep looking at rentals,I came from Jersey and got a good deal from Hertz. Can't remember the price exactly but had a deal with Alamo then was walking past a Hertz counter at a Harley dealer near me and as a joke asked them if they would give me a deal on a one way rental to NLR and they were half the price of Alamo

Ok yeah I did look at hertz and Alamo, seems they are cheaper than enterprise. Renting a car would sure beat having to fly back to retrieve my car

I was more worried about sitting on a bus for 34 hours, then the cost. When I was done with my trainer they were going to bus me from Whitcha Falls Tx to NLR so I called the guys who got me the deal but they couldn't help they can only book for NJ. my wife did find a desent deal on line, and Maverick is real good about getting you back to the car return area

I just need to get the street address to the training center or the hotel so I can pick the closest car rental return center. I have done a couple of those multistate bus rides. Every bus station is in a slum.

I need an atlas. I believe I need the rand mcnally deluxe motor carrier atlas for orientation. Do they sell them at Maverick? I found them for $39.99 on rand mcnally website. Seems like a good price
