You probably will. Today being Wednesday, drug tests come back today. Be looking for those who get called out of the class
Thinking about starting TMC the 18th. Still unsure if they are 100% my choice. Venture sounds good as well and Keim was brought to my attention as well.
Don't just settle for 1, so research on as many as possible. At one point I was settled on Melton truck lines, at the last minute I went with tmc. I was considering all of the starter flatbeders out there. Melton, TMC, Home Run, Boyd Bros, Maverick, even Western Express. I the end it came down to 3. Melton TMC and Boyd. So far I'm happy with my choice. There is earning potential here that exceeds what I was wanting, Home time that I was wishing for, and a culture of respect.
I'm doing research, just both TMC and Melton sound good. Though one week sounds better than 2. What made you choose TMC over Melton? I also like Crete Carrier, they are near me here and their pay sounds good. I keep leaning towards TMC though.
where are you located Guardian 91? im from Omaha and i choose CCC as my first place mainly becuz my school heavily endorsed them even tho TMC was my first choice... I did all most 6 months before i could no longer take there crap just a warning if you value any sense of the words "home time" you will not see it in this company... i was on there 21 day out program most of the time by day 25 im begging to get sent home only to get a load going in the wrong direction over and over again. among other issues i had but that was my biggest one so im headed to TMC. pulse they have a dedicated around in NE, IA area garenteed home weekends and told may get some home time threw the week if lucky
I live in Indianapolis, IN. There is a TMC terminal 16 minutes from my house so that is nice. Crete is close as well but no yards here for Melton it seems.
yeah your in a good spot for either TMC or crete, CCC terminal is not bad in indy very small and kinda tight but i do believe the hotel you stay at is just across the street there and when i ran for them i did go threw indy quite a bit but IMHO i felt like they make sure not to run you threw were you live cuz i see nothing but CCC trucks by my house and headquarters is just a city over and i never ran threw omaha felt like they were trying to keep me far away from were i lived lol but could have just been my luck who knows... but good freight area for CCC you will most likly running back and forth from Nashville to Chicago a lot. good company tho the trucks have this battery pack system were you can turn the truck off and run a/c and heat so thats a pluse but no inverter like TMC will let you have so you wont be doing much in your truck for they only allow a 400 watt inverter which dosnt power much
I went with tmc because my instructor in cdl school was a tmc driver, as well as 2 friends. Not one had anything bad to say.what did it for me was tmc and their home time policy of 46 of 52 weeks a year. Melton gives you 1 day home for each week out, and wants you to stay out for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Preferably 3 weeks. That was coming from my recruiter Elizabeth.
