I just finished orientation last week. The first day is videos, drug test, paperwork, physical and road test. The second day is more videos and finishing paperwork from Monday. Third day is more videos and power point. There is also more paperwork.
You will get your driver code on the third day. You can set up your direct deposit at a kiosk once you have your driver code. You could leave with a mentor the same day or in a day or two after orientation.
If you use a cpap machine be sure to get a current download before you go to orientation or you will be sent back home to get one.
You will be staying at the Best Western. It is a nice hotel. They have a decent breakfast. They provide lunch during orientation. Have at least $35 for the taxi from the Greyhound station. Get a receipt so you can get reimbursed. -
The road test they give you, whats it like, do you have to do a pre-trip etc. be there next Monday had to reschedule because of my cpap machine!

You do what the evaluator tells you to do. If you're the first one of the day, you may well be doing the PTI. If you are the fourth, probably not.
If the evaluator has half a dozen people to take on the road, he may not have time to have everyone do the PTI. -
I was at Richmond terminal for the first time, the past couple days.
I needed some service on my truck.
I must say, I liked it there.
Very nice people, and a clean place.
Very good service in the shop, as well. -
If you graduated from cdl school within the last 90 days you won't need a road test.
