The 150-250 is right for standard guidelines. Every zone goes through feast and famine stages and presents unique challenges to meet driver and customer needs. A couple weeks ago I had 5 loads in 5 days and 3 were for minimum mileage. All were tarped. That was a GOOD week for the loads that were actually available. Other drivers were waiting for loads and I just happened to have had loads in the general direction that I needed to go in.
As far as the 200 miles is concerned. Your FM can do anything he has permission to do and anything he can beg for forgiveness later. But, don't let your mind wander. Call your FM just to check in and say Hi. It will prevent a bad case of trucker paranoia from taking hold. Believe me, if you were going home OOR and you weren't supposed to, heads would roll pretty quick. Last I heard, Georgia drivers were the hardest on logistics.
Weekend pay is similar to minimum mileage. IF the load is less than 800 AND you delivered before 1000 on Monday you will get paid extra to bring the load equivalent up to 800. If the load is already over 800, no adjustment is necessary. If you sat without a dispatch AND didn't have permission to drive home, you should get 800 miles. Permission is permission whether you have the time for it or not. I'd talk about it with your FM, though, if you think you were entitled to it. He/she can clear it up and you'll know for sure instead of guessing.

Thanks, hubby is planning on talking to her next week. Glad to have the miles and route but after several weeks a little tweeking would be nice on the load home sometimes. Glad to be running. Again, not complaining just wondering. Yes, the mind of a trucker is a terrible thing to let wander.

We live in NC about 1 hour from Charlotte. Hardly ever get there though. LOL

If you were anywhere from Durham to Winston-Salem, you'd be golden for that run. Was just in the region this week. Delivered to Salisbury and picked up in Moncure headed into OH from there.
Heck, I was zigzagging this week. Went from Illinois (started in Missouri) to North Carolina, to Ohio, To Tennessee and back to Illinois with a load to Minnesota. -

For anyone headed to the PA, NY, WV area in the next couple of days, take note...
