I just upgraded to a Rand McNally 510. It does a pretty good job of getting the end location correct.
If I am not sure, I look at the nav on my cell phone which has google earth and look at it to see how it is set up, how to get in, and if it matches the directions that Mav gave me.

Thats a good idea. I have google earth on my phone but never thought about using it to see a birds eye view of the place. You learn all sorts of tricks, lol.

Hey Jim, which one did you have before the 510? I have the 500 and was just wondering if there's really any difference. Trying to debate if its worth the life time map updates or not.

I would say no. Had the 500 and went to the 510 the new one has a few more bells and whistles and calculates twice as fast.
The only reason I bought the 510 was my old one broke. I would just stay with your 500 until it dies.

Jim should tell you to find a old grouchy ### truck driver that you can use to shortn your learning curve as in places the park place and not to park. What's the best way to get there which roads not to use etc. etc. that way you could use that drivers 30+ years of experience instead of learning it all on your own. There's a few of us out there that love helping new guys.

Well had another great week. I love my job, a man loves what he does never spends a day at work. Delivered in Chicago Heights Monday loaded out to Gary down to berea ky. Then went to lipstick Ohio to Detroit Michigan loaded out of Detroit back to lipstick Ohio did that for couple of days. Then bounced me back to Gary loaded Friday for Hawesville Kentucky for Monday.
