I had 5 different FM's while I was at Maverick, there were only two I had issue with. One was Brian Spray, I absolutely couldn't stand him, but he was an alright FM. And then theres Graylin, alright guy, but sucked as a FM.
I dealt with Bo occasionally when I was on Allen's board, he sometimes had a pissy attitude, but was always to the point and got things done...i like that.
Graylin, I guess I wasn't one of his "boys", couldn't get me home to save my ###. I was made to feel like a "whiner" if I did call him with a concern, which was rare...I could go months without calling anyone. (i rarely had issues)
then there's this douche bag Joey that i'd get every now and then when i was on Brian's board, I believe he's the same one I've heard a few of the new guys complain about, (works along side Charlie with the rookies maybe?), there's a couple of times he was lucky he was a few hundred miles away from me.
it's not that i don't understand what a FM deals with on a daily basis, I couldn't do it.
Brian's been gone for a while, I heard Graylin and Bo were among the latest to go.

Joey cracks me up. No patience. No empathy. Workaholic. Talks like a Chicago mobster. Why he hasn't keeled over in his chair from a massive heart attack I'll never know.

from what i understood when i was there at maverick...he s a former tmc driver....when i was laid up in springfiled ohio at coils plus...he was a little short...almost a "###" to me....i was exhausted...hadnt slept in 19 hrs....and jacked on morphine...and other pain killers from my stint in the e.r. from the previous night...he could use a "toning down".....but thats my opinion...id gladly take charlie over joey...HANDS DOWN

Another fun filled adventurous week. Started out with heading to St Joseph Michigan where I spent the night at the receiver. They had a third shift that came in and the sound of the presses pounding woke me up but only for a minute.
I again got awakened by the sound of air brakes around 05:45. I peeked out through the curtain to see a set of doubles next to me.
So i got up to make sure that I was not in anyone's way. No problem, it was the guy taking out the scrap metal containers.
I was able to get in and get unloaded at 0700 and then sat for about 1.5 hrs until I got my next load.
It was to pick up plate steel at Feralloy Process at the Port of Indiana going to Newton NC.
I got in and got loaded the quickest that I have ever been able to there before. Since I did not have to start my clock until that Morning, Had 10 hrs of drive time. I figured I would not find a parking spot at either one of the rest areas on 64 in WV, so I decided to stop short just off of 35 in WV. Since I had plenty of time, I drove the whole day at 55 mph. Talk about a relaxing drive. It was nice.
Wednesday: Made it down to Newton with no problems and got right in and got unloaded. Had an assignment right away to go to Charlotte Pipe and pick up a two stopper going to Winchester VA and Richmond VA. Two weeks ago is when I got the horrible trailer that had all of the problems. The anti lock brakes got worse as time went on and I was locking up the tires if I put any amount of pressure on them to stop. I was glad when I got there and saw that I was getting one of the 2012 trailers.
I of course put in the info about the anti-lock brakes and also grabbed the guy on the yard that had done all of the other repairs on it. So hopefully they will get it squared away.
Had enough time to make it to the flying J in Haw River NC for the night.
Thursday: Made my first drop in Richmond and then headed up to Winchester. The original load was only 23k and only had 7k left on it at this time.
Got unloaded and already had a preplan to pick up at Tamko in Maryland. I took the cut across routes vs the interstate and went through Harpers Ferry. It was beautiful. The mountains set against the blue sky with just a few clouds.
Get my load of shingles and had enough time to make it to the Pilot at Breezewood PA.
I was going to wash the truck this morning, but it rained so I did not bother.
Got fueled up and heading out by 0545. Made it home at a little past 1200.
This load it going to Traverse City Michigan. I spoke with the customer and they told me I could park in their driveway, so I will be heading out Sunday Morning for a beautiful ride up to the Bay!
Hope you all have a wonderful week!sewerman Thanks this. -
