I have finally made it home after spending last week end out then 2 days in a Freightliner shop in Blaine, MN. That made me have to layover the 4th at Stockman's Truck Stop in South St. Paul. From there I drove less than 2 miles to Gerdau and loaded recyclable "delta sections", (the ceramic and steel things the big graphite rods go into the furnace through) and deliver them to Michigan City yesterday. I went 15 miles to Mittal in Burns Harbor and have a coil that's going to Madison, MS. Since I spent last week end out, they let me come to NLR with it for home time. I have until 2100 Monday to deliver so I'm staying home until Monday afternoon.

I was on the internet with my Kindle this week but for some reason ,it wouldn't let me post here. It had no problem with Facebook.

I have gone through two dorm sized refrigerators in two years. They work great but they are not designed to take the pounding that they take in the truck. So I am switching to a cooler.

Personally myself I have a Marine cooler have for years. They're a bit expensive but I have never wore one out yet. And they hold ice for a good long time.

The coolers come in many different sizes. The size you need depends on how much you plan to pack for the week. Space in the truck has to also be taken into account. I'd measure where I wanted it in the truck then go to the retailer with the measurements and get what works best. The coolers Sarge is talking about are great. They usually hold ice up to 5 days and are available in many sizes. Walmart has many more sizes online if you don't find the correct size in the store. Hope this helps.
