Well, Jersey City, NJ was the 1st stop and Westbury, NY was the 2nd before heading to Mittal. Had to have a trailer tire replaced in Jersey City. Lucky to have it done while parked for 10 at consignee. Because itwas 1st stop and they didn't start unloading until 7am we got to go through NY when traffic was in full force. Coming out wasn't much better. Made it to Mittal. Was only truck there and still had to wait 2 1/2 hours to get loaded. Now we had a rear drive tire that needed replaced. Called while waiting to get loaded.

Fleetnet couldn't find anyone near that had the tire. Hubby finally called to see if he could find one after 2 calls and 10 mins. He found a place. It took 3 hrs for fleetnet to come up with zip. By now we had ran out of time and had to stay there.

Heading to Texarkana, TX. for delivery today. That wasted 6 hrs sure put us behind.

Kinda hoping to get hung out so we won't have to go to Charlotte Pipe fri and NY again on Monday.

Glad you survived NY Jim. It's like a different world up there. You know that Hank Williams Jr. song? I think a line is "send me to Hell or New York City it's all the same to me" LOL

Was thankful to sleep in this morning until 5. Sitting at Temple Island in Hope, AR waiting to get loaded going to Huntingsburg, IN. Didn't think anybody have wondered though after the 5th straight week. Like to think nobody and since we made it in and out the 1st time with a 4 drop load they would just keep pushing our luck LOL

glad to hear you survived new york city. Like sewerman said, you're a professional driver and will be fine. Having grown up 25 miles south of D.C. and commuting in that traffic for close to 15 years, it does suck but none of us are 18 years old, we dont have the chevy nova with the (go ahead motor heads and make fun of my lack of mechanical knowledge) 350 small block with supercharger sticking out the hood blocking drivers view of the center of the lane, pulled up to the start line at the dragway. Take your time, leave plenty of space for the jack arses to pull in front of you and enjoy

Made it home around 13:30. Got the truck all scrubbed out and washed and ready to go. I talked to the receiver and they said I could park in their lot Sunday night, so I will have a full clock to play with on Sunday. It is nice to be out of the 90 plus deg weather and high humidity. It actually feels cold outside.
I am sure glad I do not have to stay out longer than two weeks at a time from time to time....I would not like it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend....i am going to enjoy cutting the grass on my diesel powered Grasshopper zero turn tomorrow!:Moon-buggy:

don't worry that new fleet manager will keep you out two or three weeks at a time. He is a good guy but he goes home at 5 every day and could care less if you get home or not. i know this guy. you have been out more since you started with him than your entire time with maverick. i am sorry that you got him. this is just the beginning.
