Maverick does not, has not, will not play games like some companies. You deliver the load, it's money in the bank. If there is ever any payroll issues it was an honest mistake and one phone call will usually fix it. I can tell you this if they had payroll problems then most of us (all) would be outta here. We work too hard to have to fight for our money too. I've never had any problems.

Sometimes breakdown pay doesn't get paid...not because Maverick doesn't wanna pay it...but because its simply overlooked.

The past 2 times I've been broke down the pay didn't come when it was supposed to but a simple call to my FM fixed it both times...no fuss...just gave her the dates I was in the shop, she looked it up to verify...and the $$$ was on the following checks.

Thats the only pay issues I've had in 3 years (this time) at Maverick...

This is gonna sound like I'm badmouthing the new guys...but I'm not...not at all!

While it sometimes may not seem like it because they are hiring new drivers all the time, Maverick has very high quality drivers for the most part...and Maverick didn't acquire (and keep) those high quality drivers by not paying them as was agreed when they were hired.

truck medic read this thread start to finish. One of the best from Jim the hut which he started from day one of his orientation. As far as which division, if you dont mind hard work, flatbed. If you like to open/close doors, tcd. If you like canada, "and hard work", glass.

"constantly"? no. over 4.5 years with them and any mistakes in pay, (ususally tarp pay) when noticed by me and brought to my fm's attention resulted in a payroll message by the end of the day or next day if nearing the end of their workday. Nobody gets paid what they should. We should make 100K a year. nothing but headaches? only during allergy season for me. so i'd go with , that's his opinion, and my opinion of his is a bunch of bs

That should actually read "if you don't mind hard work AND you like Canada go glass."

Thank you sarge and bishop...sarge i have read just about every thread on here about Maverick which has only helped make my decision easier than to go with Central Refrigerated or Transam like i was going to. Bishop thank you also...i do not mind hard work, I worked on a farm all through high school and again after I got married.

you're right sir no hard feelings. only thing i know about glass is 1. i dont want to haul it, and 2. "bink bink" being able to squeeze in the sides of a 4 inch strap over it.

    Bishop73 Thanks this.
